Frequently Asked Questions
Does SFCPER offer virtual appointments?
Yes, SFCPER offers virtual appointments through a HIPPA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) compliant telehealth platform. At this time SCFCPER does not provide in-person appointments.
Does SFCPER accept my insurance?
SFCPER does not accept any insurance, but is considered an out-of-network provider for all health insurance carriers. It is recommended that you contact your own insurance provider to learn what steps you should take to see if your insurance would cover a portion of your fee. SFCPER will provide you with any necessary documentation in this process.
What are your fees?
SFCPER provides a number of treatment options which are associated with different fees:
Individual Sessions $350
SRP (8 sessions) $2,400
How long is each session?
All SFCPER sessions are 85 minutes in length, thirty minutes longer than a typical psychotherapy session.
Wow, your fees are pretty high! Why?
SFCPER will never take on more than 15 clients at any given time, ensuring that each client has a very high degree of attention given to them. Additionally all SFCPER sessions are 85 minutes in length. The term ‘concierge therapy’ has been used to describe this model, but I don’t really love that term, so other than this sentence, you won’t see it used here. Typically, therapists do not encourage their clients to call or text them very often, but at SFCPER this is actually recommended and is included in the listed fees. SFCPER offers a very individualized experience that includes personally tailored and individualized content (video, audio, meditations) which are uniquely created for each client as a way to allow your work with SFCPER to extend outside of the sessions and into your actual life. Check out this blog post which explains this philosophy in greater depth.
Does SFCPER prescribe medications?
SFCPER does not currently have any psychiatrists on staff, thus we are not able to prescribe any medications.
